I wasn't actually sure I could pile on plaplates neatly since this is my first time working with it.
Because of that, I refrained from procuring the bash fodder until I was confident I could pull this off.

The railgun geometry is much more complicated, so it took more time to make.
That being said, it's starting to look pretty good!

I butchered two perfectly good ballpens for this part.
However, sacrifices are sometimes necessary, and it's for a good cause.

Now, the part I'm the worst at: painting.

Finally started working on the main MS.

Here's the second coat of paint. The black is actually handpainted because I had somehow messed up the masking process. Eheh!

The last of the tedious details...

This build has a lot of firsts for me. This is my first time trying to match a color by mixing paint.
Looks like I got pretty close to the intended color, so 'huzzah' for that!

After the paint has dried, all that's left is putting it all together.

It took way longer than expected, but I finally got the whole layout in order.

Now that there doesn't seem to be any more foreseeable problems,
it's time to procrastinate!!

and here i thought it would be a relatively simple build...
but damn does that Launcher pack ever enjoy getting in the way of everything else.

I had to pretty much mangle the upper section of the Aile pack so the mounts wouldn't interfere with that shoulder gatling. Most of the modding is pretty much done now though. Work should progress a bit more smoothly from now on.

It's rather surprising that despite SEED being my first Gundam series, 

it actually took this long before I decided to start a serious CE build.
This is arguably the most popular custom RG build,
so I've got plenty of material to take references from.

What seems to be absent from a great deal of the builds I've seen though is the composite

battery pack. Understandably so because it's included only on the HG Perfect Strike release.
I had already procured and butchered one beforehand though, so I'm all set for this.

Next up are the mounts for Agni and Schwert Gewehr. That shouldn't be too hard

A rather major oversight on my part: I hadn't realized the mounts would be in the way of the wings. Looks like I'll have to rework those and move them a bit further back. I think I'll save that for another time.
